The responsibilities within this position will involve:

  • Installation and configuration of a SOA Platform technical stack which includes WebSphere MQ, WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Application Server.

  • Provision of technical support in the use of these products.

  • Liaison on possible defects found in the software products and the installation and testing of patches provided by the vendor.

  • Monitoring performance of SOA product stack.

  • Development of processes and procedures for the support of the SOA technical stack, including production.

    Successful candidates must have substantial experience (3+ years) with the products listed above.

    THIS IS A CO-OP/INTERN POSITION AND ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE REGISTERED
    FULL TIME STUDENTS.
    We are currently looking for spring and summer technical intern
    positions in the WBI Performance and development in Austin Texas.
    Candidates working in the performance group will be responsible for
    performance measurements, workload development, profiling and tracing,
    performance prototype development, and analysis of WBI software
    components. Motivated software developer to join the WebSphere Process
    Server (WPS)Team. The candidate should have development skills in
    Operating System kernel, Java/J2EE, knowledge of Web Services (WSDL,
    SOAP), XML, J2EE Application Server, and Eclipse/Rational Application
    Developer tools. Knowledge of Eclipse Modeling Framework and prior
    exposure with
    WebSphere Business Integration products (WebSphere Process
    Server/WebSphere
    Integration Developer) is a plus.
